In August my sister and I spent a week in the crazy temperatures of Austin, TX. Here are a few highlights from a week spent vintage shopping, swimming, eating BBQ and drinking the strongest Margharita's I've ever had. Austin we loved you!
The icy-cool spring water at Barton Springs.
Singing cowboy on South Congress and awesome coffee at Jo's.
We were lucky enough to spend an amazing afternoon pool-side here in the lovely company of Katherine Squier
Oddfellows offered a great respite from the not-so-expected Seattle sun. I loved the rustic decor and the cute outside patio.
Les Amis has two stores in Seattle but it's their clothing boutique hidden within wisteria vines that made me want everything inside. They offer a cool selection of clothes and jewellery cabinets filled with hammered gold and semi-precious stones.
Two weeks ago myself and some girlfriends took a trip to the Pacific North West. Philly > Seattle > Portland..
Seattle had a plethora of cool shops but this one hit the nail on the head. Totokaelo, meaning total, sky is an oasis of cool nesstled in between Oddfellows and Everyday Music in Capitol Hill. Upon recommendations from friends, we went to visit it and spent a good hour rummaging through the amazing designer clothes and chic homewares. If I could live in a shop, I would live here. The space and light were just beautiful and along with the friendly but not pushy staff, the flattering mirrors and comfy rugs, this place was at treat to wander around. They're also online here.
